Community Improvement Corp.

The City of St. Marys has a long lasting strong relationship with business. The City established one of the first Community Improvement Corporations (CICs) in the State of Ohio. The CIC was instrumental in the development of the South Park Drive Industrial Park in 1967, and their efforts have grown substantially over the years with the full development of the McKinley Road Industrial area.

The City of St. Marys has a full-time Development Manager, a position the City has funded since 1973. With the full-time position and the assistance of the CIC, the City takes economic development seriously. The development team established by the Development Manager and CIC serves companies and potential site selection consultants with a single point of contact that works closely with other City, County and State officials on existing and new business projects.  Our team welcomes the opportunity to work with you and your business.
